TRACY LAM
Everyday
This studio-based research project investigates a psyche of alienation and boredom inherent in contemporary everyday life. The tension between confronting and adapting to the monotony of life is explored in long take videos and documentary photography. Assemblages are created using futile labor processes enacted on quotidian materials drawn from my personal daily experiences. A dialogue between rational thinking, excess labour and tactile feelings is engaged in examining the existential crisis.
